Christof Weinhardt

Christof Weinhardt graduated in Industrial Engineering, received his Ph.D. in Economics and his habilitation in Business Administration. For 15 years he has been professor for Information Systems at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). With his interdisciplinary background his research focuses on topics related to digital transformation with applications in energy, IT services, finance, and telecommunications markets. He was an elected member of the Review Board at DFG (German National Science Foundation), an expert advisor of the Committee of Enquiry “Internet and the Digital Society” of the Federal Parliament of Germany. Since then he focuses his research and academic work also on Online Participation in Economy and Society. Beyond that he acts as a political adviser, co-editor, and reviewer for numerous international journals, and conferences, published more than 200 peer reviewed papers and books and received a number of awards for his research, and teaching work.
 
 
 
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hugh Rudnick

Hugh Rudnick es Ingeniero Civil Electricista de la Universidad de Chile, Master of Science y Doctor of Philosophy de University of Manchester. Es Profesor Emérito en la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Ha realizado investigaciones y publicaciones en el sector energético, con más de trescientos artículos en revistas indexadas y conferencias técnicas internacionales. Ha contribuido, como consultor e investigador, a los procesos de desregulación del sector eléctrico en América Latina, tanto en regulación y tarificación de la transmisión y la distribución, como en la organización de mercados competitivos de generación. Sus contribuciones han servido de referencia a procesos desregulatorios que están teniendo lugar en otras partes del mundo. Es reconocido su aporte al desarrollo de políticas públicas en energía en Latinoamérica.

Anthony Papavasiliou

Anthony Papavasiliou received a B.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from  the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, and a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at the University of California at Berkeley. He holds the ENGIE Chair at the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium, and is a faculty member of the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics. His interests are focused on the modeling of energy policy and the application of operations research methods in electric power systems operations and electricity markets. 
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dimitrios Papadaskalopoulos

Dr Dimitrios Papadaskalopoulos is a Research Fellow at the Control and Power research group at Imperial College London, U.K. His research focuses on the development and application of decentralised and market-based approaches for the coordination of operation and planning decisions in power systems, employing optimisation and game-theoretic principles. He has co-authored over 40 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences, and he has been involved in numerous U.K., European and international research and consultancy projects.
